Band Repeat Calculator

A step-by-step guide to calculating perfect artwork spacing for evenly distributed band logos.

What does this tool do?

When designing wristbands or similar products, you need logos or artwork repeated at exactly equal intervals. This calculator gives you the precise spacing value to use with Adobe Illustrator's Horizontal Distribute Space function โ€” so your artwork lands perfectly, every time.

1 Input Fields

Fill in these three values before clicking Calculate:

๐Ÿ“
Length of Band The total circumference of the band in millimeters. Defaults to 202 mm for a standard wristband.
๐ŸŽจ
Logo Size in Total The combined total width of all your artwork elements placed end-to-end, in millimeters.
๐Ÿ”
Number of Repeats How many times the logo should appear around the band (e.g. 4 for four equally spaced logos).

2 The Formula

The calculator uses this formula to find the spacing value:

Result = Band Length โˆ’ ((Band Length โˆ’ Logo Size) รท Repeats) The result is the reference distance you'll enter in Illustrator.

3 Using the Result in Illustrator

Click Calculate โ€” the spacing result will appear below the button.
Click Copy Result to copy the value to your clipboard.
In Adobe Illustrator, select all artwork elements on the band artboard.
Open the Align panel โ†’ Distribute Spacing โ†’ Horizontal Distribute Space and paste the copied value.
Your logos will be perfectly and evenly distributed across the band.
